Be Joyful and Peaceful in All Situation (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Isaiah 41:8-20

RHEMA

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

A pastor had cancer and from the last examination, cancer seen had spread to several parts of the body. Nonetheless, he still served God faithfully. Even though his condition seemed to have deteriorated, he could smile and radiate joy. He continued to praise and shared that God is good. If someone else is in his position, s/he might give up and have no desire to do anything. But he still believed, God always gave the best for him and his family. Till the end of his life, he managed to keep joy and peace in his heart. He won against his condition and illness.

Humans are creatures that easily change their feelings. What is seen by our eyes directly affects our mood. This response is natural for every human being, but it will be unnatural when negative feelings arise and dominate our minds. 1 year ago, everything was going well and we were all preparing to put forth our energies and minds for even greater progress and breakthroughs. When the media started broadcasting a contagious virus in Wuhan, we were all still calm. Who would have thought, in just a few months, this virus was able to change so many things in the lives of humans around the world.

The news of death, news of losses, news of riots, and the economic crisis, inevitably begin to rob us of joy and peace. Many people begin to get depressed, losing smiles and laughter from their faces. But we as God’s children get strength from the promise of God’s providence (Isaiah 41:10). The Prince of Peace has come with His glory that is brighter than ever. Accept and invite Him into our hearts and lives. Then we will receive endless joy and peace that overcomes the current conditions.

REFLECTION

Do not allow the CONDITIONS TO ROB the joy and peace within us.

APPLICATIONS

1. Does the current condition make you lose your joy and peace?
2. Why does God want you to have joy and peace in all conditions?
3. How can you maintain the joy and peace that is within you?

PRAYER

“Lord, You are the Prince of Peace and the King of Glory. We believe that we will never lose our joy and peace. Thank you, God. Enter into our hearts and dwell in us from now on and forever. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
