Be Purified and Sanctified by The Holy Spirit (Evening)

John 14:16-17 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

The senior pastor of our church, Ps. Obaja Tanto Setiawan is not only active in delivering the word of God in regular services, but he also conducts discipleship meetings every Tuesday and hosts a program named “Live Streaming with Pastor Obaja” every Wednesday and Thursday. Besides, every morning, he and along with other pastors, take turns to preach in the morning prayer altar. He does all of this to make sure we all grow mature. Of course, it takes effort, indeed this is a great blessing for the congregation and many others.

Ina Irene, one of the church members who lives in Padang, shared a testimony. She is very grateful to God, that since joining Keluarga Allah, she has changed a lot. She learned that giving in does not mean losing. It will bring victory. She learned a lot from what Ps. Obaja said through the Live Streaming broadcast, about the examples of Esther and Joseph. How Esther knew what the king liked and how Joseph obeyed God. She wanted to be like Joseph who did not want to compromise with sin and did not want to be seduced by worldly lusts. She felt her faith grow and be changed totally. In the past, her heart was hard, but now God has transformed it. Most importantly, her life continues to be renewed by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The world does not know nor receive the Holy Spirit, but He lives in us. He is the Spirit of Truth. God wants us to live more holiness. Therefore, day by day we have to let Holy Spirit process us to purify and sanctify us. Make sure this year we become more holy, more righteous, more honest, and sincere. If in previous years we still keep doing sins, now, let’s stop. This year God wants to make us shines brightly and He will use us for His glory.

Be willing to COOPERATE with the Holy Spirit so that He may purify and sanctify our lives.

1. Do you desire your life to be more purified and sanctified this year?
2. Have you involved the Holy Spirit and cooperated with Him?
3. What process are you currently facing?

“Dear Holy Spirit, we want to keep involving in our lives. We provide our lies to be purified and sanctified more according to Your will. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
