Blessing in The Covenant (Evening)
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
Gabby was very upset. She had no money to pay her debt. Her husband was recently laid off due to the pandemic. Her salary as a teacher was only enough to pay for her daily living. Before the pandemic, she became a tutor and her salary was bigger than the salary she received as a school teacher. But due to the pandemic, she lost 90% of her students. She then prayed and read God’s Word. She eventually took a loan online instead of listening to God’s voice.
When it came time to pay off her debt, she was surprised at the great amount of money she had to pay. She got so stressed, then she joined the Live Streaming with Ps. Obaja program. During the prayer session, she received the anointing. The Holy Spirit moved her to ask for forgiveness. After that, when worshipping on David’s Tent online, she was opened by the Holy Spirit to open Deuteronomy 28 and was reminded to listen carefully to God’s voice. Gabby felt rebuked and she committed to be wiser. Because debt is certainly not from God, but her own fault.
Yes, hearing God’s voice is not an easy thing amid the turmoil of life. Many voices can appear so we can make wrong decisions. However, entering into God’s presence and listening to and reading God’s words faithfully is the key to finding the true voice of God. When we make wise decisions based on the Word, God will also do His part. He will bless us and His glory will be manifested through our lives.
There is a BLESSING for those who commit to obeying The Covenant of God.
1. Have you ever made a wrong decision? What are the consequences?
2. Why do you need to commit to obeying the Word of God?
3. What steps do you take to stay in the covenant of God?
“Father, we give thanks for today. Your Word strengthens and makes us wiser in carrying out the Covenant of Peace. Forgive us if we often walk alone and fall. Teach us the Holy Spirit to keep walking in Your guidance. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
