Bring Your Heart To God, The Restorer Of Hearts (Morning)

Psalm 30:1-12

Psalms 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

It has been years since Devi kept her bitterness towards her mother-in-law. It’s all started when she was delivering her first newborn baby. Her in-law told her how to be a good mother since she was still inexperienced. Devi accepted her word of wisdom enthusiastically. But as time passed, her mother-in-law’s advice started to bother her and hurt her feelings. She never told her husband whatsoever. She did what must be done, keep it her secret.

When she was preparing for that day’s meeting with her cell group, her mother-in-law’s image suddenly appeared in her mind. She was overwhelmed with regrets. She understood that she still holding grudges towards her mother-in-law. Crying and screaming she finally broke down saying: “O LORD, let me go off with these heavy burdens and bitterness. I want to be free! Enable me to do so, God” That night, after meeting with her cell group, God touched her heart. She was crying all night. At dawn, with the first sunlight appears, she was relieved. She forgave her mother-in-law.

We are all have been hurt one time or another. We have also inflicted some wounds to others, whether we mean it or not. It would scar our hearts. But God understands it. He can heal and restore our hearts. The next question is for us to answer: do we agree to let Him heal our wounds? When He heals our hearts He will touch it as well. His touches soothe our pains and sufferings. It eases our lives. As human beings, we can’t be healed perfectly on our own. We need Him to replace all disappointments and bitterness with joy and laughter.

God IS ABLE TO HEAL your bitter heart and turns it into a SWEET one.

1. Let’s get deeper into your heart, are you still holding grudges and bitterness?
2. In your opinion, why does He want you to be free from grudges and bitterness?
3. Then, what will you do to be completely healed by Him?

“God, enable me to forgive people who broke and scarred my heart. Touch it, wrap it, and heal it. Change it into a whole new heart. A heart that You deemed worthy in Your presence. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
