By Becoming the Doer of the Word, Our Soul is Saved and Totally Restored (Evening)

Psalm 103:1-22

Psalm 103:17-18 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, 18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

The story is told of two brothers, convicted of stealing sheep, who were branded on the forehead with the letters ST, to indicate “sheep thief.” The one couldn’t bear the stigma, became bitter, and moved away. Eventually, he died and was forgotten. The other brother chose a different course. He said, “I can’t run from what I did, so I’ll stay here and win back the respect of my neighbors and myself.” As the years passed, he built a solid reputation for integrity. One day a stranger saw him, now an old man, with the letters on his forehead. He asked a townsman what they signified. “It happened a long time ago,” said the villager. “I’ve forgotten the particulars, but I think the letters are an abbreviation for ‘saint’”.

The Apostle Paul was a persecutor of God’s church. Among believers, the reputation of Saul, another name for Paul, was very bad. In the first days of his conversion, of course, the feeling of depression and blame was very disturbing to his heart and mind. But instead of running away from reality, Paul came to God. Surrender to His leadership and guidance. Paul learned to be a doer of the Word and accepted the Apostolic mandate. There may be rejection, but he firmly continued to do His will and the Bible records that Paul was used by God to become the Great Apostle of God.

Every successful person has a past, and in God’s hands, everyone who once failed has a future. Nobody is perfect, each of us must have his own story. Today God is ready to make complete healing, not only physical illness but also our souls will be completely healed by God. Take the right step, come to God. Pray for forgiveness and repent. Be the doer of His Word. Learn to forgive and make peace with everyone who wrongs us. If we consistently do it, God will help. Slowly but surely people will see, we will become the joy of God and others. Our souls will be saved and experience complete healing when we become doers of God’s word.

When we become the DOERS OF WORD, our souls will be saved and TOTALLY RESTORED.

1. After receiving God’s Word, have you become the doer of it?
2. If not, what makes it difficult for you to be a doer of the Word?
3. How will you strive to be doers of the Word in your daily life?

“Father, forgive us if we still cannot be doers of Your word. From now on we want to learn to really do what You say. We may fail, but we will continue to learn until we become doers of the Word that pleases You. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
