WORSHIP FROM THE DEEPEST HEART (English)

APRIL 6, 2022 | DAY 3#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Mark 12:30 ‘And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

Do you remember the story of Cain and Abel? God accepted Abel’s offering, but not Cain’s. God was very pleased with Abel’s offering because Abel really gave the best for God and it pleased Him very much, while Cain only gave it sparingly. It is not the number of offerings that God sees, but the attitude of the heart in giving that count.

In the New Testament, there is also a story about a widow who gave only two mites for an offering in the Temple. Meanwhile, many rich people made offerings in large quantities. In the eyes of humans, we may see that the offerings given by the rich are very large. But Jesus said to His disciples that the poor widow gave more. Again, it is not the number that God counts, but the depths of the human heart that He sees.

Our God loves the praise and worship of His people, but God does not see how good our voices sound when we praise, how good our technique in worship, or even how many offerings we have given. But what God sees is the attitude of our hearts when praising and worshiping Him. Have we praised and worshiped Him from our hearts sincerely and the bottom of our hearts? Because that’s the only thing that can make God pleased with our praise and worship. (JB)

REFLECTION

Our God IS PLEASED with praise and worship from THE DEEPEST HEART.

APPLICATIONS

1. Have you praised and worshipped God with the right attitude of heart?
2. Why do you think God wants us to raise praise and worship from the bottom of our hearts?
3. Think about what we can do to make our worship praise acceptable before Him!

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O LORD, forgive us if the attitude of our hearts is still wrong in praising and worshiping You. We want to learn to worship You not only from the outside, not only from what appears on the surface. But more than that, we want to learn to be able to praise and worship You sincerely from the bottom of our hearts. And let You be pleased through our praise and worship. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

REFLECTION OF LOVE TO GOD IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP (English)

APRIL 5, 2022 | DAY 2#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Psalms 63:4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

The expression of David’s longing for God when he was in the wilderness of Judah, is contained in Psalm 63. What Daud said was not just lip service, but this expression came from the bottom of his heart. For David, his longing for God is priceless, it cannot be measured by the material or luxury he has. He filled his mind with memories of how God accompanied and blessed his ancestors on the journey to the Promised Land.

When do we praise God? Perhaps many of us will answer: during worship at church. Besides, when else are we praising God? Is it only when experiencing miracles and His help? What if the situations we experience are not as expected? Do praises still come out of our mouths? Watch David when he said: My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. (Psalms 34:2). Even though at that time David was facing a serious problem, he was determined to keep praising God. The phrase “make its boast” means that praising God does not depend on the situation and conditions, or depending on our mood, but praising God is a form of our love for God.

Praise that comes out of love and loyalty to God knows no time limit. Whenever we can praise God because God never stops helping us. As David said, “the humble shall hear it and be glad” In other words, David’s mouth is filled with praise because he continuously praises it. Praise and worship are expressions of passionate love, just like people who are in love. The passion of love makes true praise and worship not done just once. The praise and worship that occurs because of love will become more intense. Nor is it done haphazardly or carelessly. Worship and praise that is based on a heart that truly loves God and realizes He is the one who created and accompanies our lives, will make our lives filled with miracles from Him. (JB)

REFLECTION

OUR SERIOUSNESS about praise and worship shows HOW MUCH WE LOVE Him.

APPLICATIONS

1. What is your attitude towards praise and worship so far?
2. Why can our great love for God be reflected in our praise of worship?
3. How will you respond to worship and praise from now on?

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O good Father, thank You for Your great love and Your miraculous guidance in our lives. Teach us Lord, how we can please You through the praises of our worship, that we may become Your true worshipers. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

PRAISE AND WORSHIP IN GOD’S HEART (English)

APRIL 4, 2022 | DAY 1#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

For some people, praise and worship do not have a portion as important as prayer and the Word. Because of that, not a few people find their ears unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and even completely uninterested in worship hymns. On the other hand, some memorize and can sing many spiritual songs, but they also do not feel there is anything special in worship praise, because they are just singing. People like this usually find it difficult to really know and experience God personally.

Music and songs help us to praise and worship God. But what happened to Paul and Silas in Acts 16:24-26, teaches us about the secret of worship. When shackled in prison, there is certainly no music to accompany them. The voices of Paul and Silas were not necessarily melodious to hear. However, as they prayed and sang praises to God aloud, there was a great earthquake that opened all the doors and released the shackles that bound them.

The worst situation was happening to Paul and Silas. However, this did not dampen the confidence of Paul and Silas. Their hearts were filled with gratitude for having a great God and then overflowed with praise from their lips. This is what makes God unable to remain silent. Praise and worship that is born from a heart that loves and believes unconditionally, has a special place in God’s heart. This is the secret of worshipping that makes God be willing to come and reveal His extraordinary miracles in our lives. Therefore, let’s learn to offer our praise and worship to God, whatever the situation that is happening in our lives. Believe us, when we do it with faith and a sincere heart to God, then God will reveal His infinite power in our lives. (JB)

REFLECTION

PRAISE and WORSHIP have a special place in God’s heart.

APPLICATIONS

1. What is your view on praise and worship to God?
2. How important are praise and worship in your life?
3. Through what events have you been able to feel that praise and worship have a special place in God’s heart?

“Jesus Christ our LORD, thank You for teaching us to praise and worship You in all circumstances. Teach us to draw closer and have intimate fellowship with You so that we can experience You personally. May we have hearts that are always grateful and our lips filled with praise for Your goodness in our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

LAYING UP TRUE TREASURE (English)

APRIL 2, 2022 | DAY 6#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Luke 12:20-21 “But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

According to the parameters of the world, Solomon was a very successful king. He has all the treasures of the world that humans dream of. He worked hard and toiled to amass greater and greater world treasure so that he became the richest man in the history of mankind. However, at a certain point in his life, he realized that if he did not have heavenly treasures, all his earthly wealth would be in vain. That matchless treasure didn’t make Solomon happy in the end. He knew that everything was temporary.

God’s Word says that what can be seen is temporary (2 Corinthians 4:18) Which means, one day it will run out or change in value. Just like the inheritance of money, houses, companies, and much more. It’s all temporary. In contrast to the inheritance of a good name, for example, it is more eternal and will always be remembered from generation to generation. That is why the Lord Jesus advised us to accumulate treasure in the Kingdom of Heaven.

More than we struggle to accumulate wealth in this world, we should strive even more to accumulate treasures in heaven. Take a commitment to consistently approach and please God. As it is written in the Bible, glorify God with your wealth: let your wealth be used to expand the Kingdom of God. Use our time, energy, mind, and talents to serve God. Be a witness of Christ and save as many souls as possible. Through it all, just as we are saving and accumulating true treasure. Those are the best things we can do in this life of ours. (JB)

REFLECTION

Lay up the TRUE TREASURES.

APPLICATIONS

1. What do you think is the true treasure?
2. How important is it to accumulate true treasure as long as we live?
3. What things will you do to have true treasure? Write it down!

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O LORD, enlighten our hearts so that we may see and believe in Your words, that we may take righteous actions to accumulate true treasure. Let through our lives, You are pleased. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

THE BEST LEGACY FOR OUR GENERATION (English)

APRIL 1, 2022 | DAY 5#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Deuteronomy 11:18-19a “Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. “You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house,

Sung Shang Chieh or better known as John Sung, the 6th son of Rev. Sung, is already known to the Hinghwa community as a little priest. Whenever his father was absent, John Sung always took his place in preaching. At the age of eighteen, John Sung received a scholarship and studied in America. He also continued his higher studies until he received a doctorate and philosophy. Knowing his son’s prowess, his father asked him to work at a government university to help pay for his younger siblings. However, John Sung chose to preach the gospel. John Sung went on to become the greatest evangelist in Mainland Chinese history. Hundreds of thousands of people converted from his ministry. He is also called the God Torch of Asia.

John Sung’s decision to choose to become an evangelist instead of enjoying his success in the world must not be separated from his father’s role. The inheritance passed down by Pastor Sung of course teaches spiritual things. So, even though John Sung had lived and studied in America, even had a great chance to be successful in the world, he had a solid and solid foundation in his life. He knows that eternal success is more important.

Today’s Rhema teaches how important it is for us to pass on spiritual things to our descendants. Not only children and grandchildren physically but also spiritually. Teach science and ways to manage a company, that’s good. But it is best to pass on spiritual things. How to build a close relationship with God, believe, hope, and rely on God. Because true success is gained in God. This is the best thing we can do in our lives so that our generation will grow up to be extraordinary people. (JB)

REFLECTION

Passing on the SPIRITUAL THING is THE BEST THING we can do to our generation.

APPLICATIONS

1. Have you passed on spiritual things to the generations below you all this time?
2. Why do you think spiritual inheritance is the best thing for our generation?
3. What spiritual things will you pass on to your generations? Write it down!

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O LORD, we long to be able to pass on spiritual things to our generation. Holy Spirit, guide us so that we don’t go astray. So that our generation becomes strong, resolute, and always relies on God. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

TO BE FRUITFUL MULTIPLY SPIRITUALLY (English)

MARCH 31, 2022 | DAY 4#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

After God finished creating the earth and everything in it, He gave Adam and Eve mandates to carry out. One of the tasks that God gave to Adam and Eve was for them to have children and multiply. Of course, by having children and multiplying, the earth that was originally only filled with two humans became filled with other humans. In the end, it was from Adam and Eve that offspring were born that spread to all corners of the earth.

God gave the command to have children and multiply not only Adam and Eve but Noah and Jacob also received the same mandate. Even God Himself once promised Abraham to make his descendants as many as the sand in the sea and the stars in the sky. This means, Abraham will be born in countless nations. Here we can see, how in the end, how Abraham’s spiritual descendants continue to be born. God’s will for humans was fulfilled by the number of humans scattered throughout this earth.

If in the time of the prophets, God gave the commandment to have children and multiply, even today we also receive the same mandate. However, it is not only physical children and grandchildren, but God wants each of us to be able to produce many children, grandchildren, and spiritual great-grandchildren as long as we live in this world. God’s greatest desire is for many souls to be saved and receive the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. Therefore, do not let the gift of salvation that we have received stop in us, but pass on the message of salvation to many people. So many souls are saved and come to God. We must continue to fight and pay the price so that we can produce many spiritual children and grandchildren who receive the gift of salvation. How happy it is when we can do the best thing as long as we live, namely by bringing lost souls to God. Thus, we also make our lives much more meaningful. (JB)

REFLECTION

One of GOD’S WILLS in our lives is to BE FRUITFUL and MULTIPLY.

APPLICATIONS

1. What is meant by God’s will in our lives is to have children and multiply?
2. Have you fulfilled one of God’s wills to have children and multiply spiritually? If not, why?
3. How can you produce spiritual posterity in your life?

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O good Father, we want to fulfill Your great commission in our lives by producing spiritual children and grandchildren as long as we live. Give us the courage and ability to be able to bring souls to You. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

INVESTIGATING TO UNDERSTAND (English)

MARCH 30. 2022 | DAY 3#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Psalms 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

For the past week, Ruth has been following her mother secretly. She even ventured to peek at her mother’s cellphone, she was curious about what pages were often opened there. Ruth did all this because she wanted to know what her mother really liked. Because in one month, the mother she loves so much will have her birthday, and Ruth really wants to be able to give a surprise gift that can please her mother. After two full weeks of investigating her mother, Ruth finally found that her mother was looking for a pink casual dress from a certain brand. When Ruth gave the dress as a birthday present to her mother, her mother was so touched and happy because her wish could be fulfilled by her favorite child.

To understand someone’s desires, likes, or desires, we often need to investigate them. Likewise, if we want to understand God’s will, we must investigate God’s Word. God’s Word is God’s mind, even God’s Word is His own manifestation. When we continue to investigate God’s Word, then we will know God more and more. And the more we know God, the more we will understand God’s will.

That’s why it’s so important for us to have regular time to read and meditate on God’s Word. Never go a day without reading and meditating on God’s Word. We are grateful that in our church there is a daily devotional facility that we can get every morning, noon and night. Through this meditation on God’s Word, we will be brought to know more about the Person of God and what His will is for our lives. That’s when we will be led to walk in His will so that we can experience a life full of God’s grace. (JB)

REFLECTION

To UNDERSTAND GOD’S WILL, we must INVESTIGATE God’s word.

APPLICATIONS

1. Have you regularly read and meditated on God’s Word?
2. What blessings do you receive when you investigate God’s Word?
3. What commitments will you take so that you can better understand God’s will for your life?

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O LORD, we long to understand Your will in our lives. Give us hunger and thirst to search it through Your Word. We believe Your Word will lead our lives to a life full of Your grace and glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.”

LIVE WISELY (English)

MARCH 29, 2022 | DAY 2#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

We see a lot of people, even ourselves, often not being wise in acting or making decisions, so that what happens is detrimental to ourselves. Facts of life that tell the story of the many cases of marriage, divorce, cohabitation, drug misuse, or stumbling to death for a good selfie position, shows that many people don’t pay attention to how life should be. The impact of this careless life in the end only causes wounds, pain, and also feelings of guilt for family members.

Apostle Paul exhorted the Ephesians so that they could live like wise men and not fools. Wise people are people who can use every opportunity and time that God has given them by doing what God wants in their lives. They understand that this short life is actually to fulfill God’s call in every step of their life.

Paul’s advice is also an advice for all of us to use time not only as chronos or just time that passes, but also kairos, which is the opportunity to understand God’s will and glorify Him throughout our lives. Do not look at life from what we achieve, have, and sit on, but the extent to which our lives can be a light for the glory of God. The Lord Jesus has entrusted in our lives, our possessions, abilities, and time itself, to make the best use of it according to His will, so that our lives are no longer ordinary, but extraordinary. (JB)

REFLECTION

SEE then that you walk CIRCUMSPECTLY.

APPLICATIONS

1. How have you used your time so far?
2. Why do you need to pay close attention to your life?
3. How can you pay close attention to how you live?\

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O good Father, forgive us if we have not used the time wisely in our lives. Open the eyes of our hearts, O LORD, and guide our every step, so that we can live according to Your will and calling. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

LOYALTY BRINGS US TO GREAT THINGS (English)

MARCH 27, 2022 | DAY 7#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Matthew 25:21 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

When a wife loses her husband, it feels natural for her to return to her parents’ family. But after the death of her husband, Ruth still chose to follow Naomi, her mother-in-law. Everything Naomi said, Ruth faithfully did. Not a single complaint is recorded in the Bible. Day after day, no one ever knows what will happen. Ruth continued to carry out her daily duties with fidelity and diligence. Unbeknownst to him, God who never sleeps sees and remembers it all. God moved, opening the door for Ruth to a future far beyond her imagination. Ruth became the wife of Boaz, the owner of the field where she had worked all this time. Not only that, her name continues to be remembered by many people because it is recorded in the genealogy of the birth of Jesus Christ our LORD. It’s amazing, who could have thought, Ruth’s loyalty bears very sweet fruit in her life and her offspring.

That is the power of loyalty. Loyalty, when conditions are fine, is certainly an easy thing. But when we have to be faithful in unfavorable conditions, full of pressure, maybe even we are allowed to suffer losses, but we still decide to be loyal, that’s just extraordinary. Of course, God will not remain silent. God will remember it all and at the right time, He will lead us to something much bigger. That is the reward for us who want to continue to persevere in faithfulness.

Therefore, let’s continue to build loyalty within us. Ask for strength from God and learn from the small things that are our responsibility, such as the story of parables 5, 2, 1 talent from the rhema of God’s word that we read above. Do it with sincerity, even though maybe what we are doing right now doesn’t have any meaning. Do it until our life has meaning worth remembering. Trust me, God will never let us stay small and He will lift us just in time. (JB)

REFLECTION

Keep being a FAITHFUL person because a loyal person NEVER REMAINS SMALL in their life.

APPLICATIONS

1. What has been your struggle to stay loyal to this day?
2. What obstacles do you have when you try to faithfully do your part?
3. What do you think you will receive when you manage to remain faithful? Write down your commitment!

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O good Father, thank You because You are our faithful God. Your faithfulness is truly tested in our lives. And right now, this is our commitment before You, O LORD, so that we too may be able to be faithful as You are. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

GOD IS WITH OUR EVERY STEP (English)

MARCH 26, 2022 | DAY 6#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

From the story of the twelve scouts who were sent by Moses, we can learn about courage. Focusing on the negative and being daunted, ten of the twelve scouts missed the opportunity to enter the Promised Land. Unlike Joshua and Caleb, they could see the greatness of God’s power that accompanied them, so they dared to step up and succeeded in entering the Promised Land according to God’s plan.

When our focus is on how great the enemy’s strength is, then we will lose the courage to step up e in the end suffer losses. People who give up easily and back down halfway will get nothing. But when our eyes are fixed on God, no matter what situations and conditions come our way, even though we know that as humans, we might not be able to face it, our hearts can see that God is much greater than our problems. That is what keeps our hearts steadfast in the face of any great danger.

Today, no matter what we experience, keep believing that God’s presence is always present and real in our lives. When we rely on God and believe that God is with us, then we will not be afraid and afraid. Instead, we will dare to take a step. Focus our eyes on God. Have courage and loyalty. Use our lives to do things that are pleasing to God, and without us knowing it, our lives will become lives that are worth remembering before God. (JB)

REFLECTION

Don’t not fear nor be afraid. TAKE STEPS because God is always with you.

APPLICATIONS

1. What makes you afraid to keep going according to God’s plan?
2. Why do we have to step up to see God’s presence?
3. How can we make sure God is with us?

TODAY’S PRAYER

“O good Father, we pray for Your anointing so that we may see and believe in Your glorious plan for our lives, so that we may have the courage to step forward. Because we know, Your presence is always real in our lives and leads us from one victory to another. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
