The Grace Makes You Deserve To Receive Things From God

TODAY’S FOD FOR THE SOUL

Ephesians 2:1-9

TODAY’S RHEMA

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Once upon a time, there lived a generous king. One day the king did his daily inspection routine accompanied by his loyal soldiers. The king and his men disguised themselves as commoners, so the king could see the situation of his kingdom as it is. After did this daily routine, this king came into fruit stall to buy some fruits and then summed up this daily inspection routine. The king just about to pay for his goods when suddenly a little thief, snatched his purse swiftly and ran away. King’s men then chased that thief.

When the thief got caught, he then was brought before the king. Privately the king asked the boy some questions: ‘Who is he? Where did he come from? Where’s his family? How old is he?’ The little thief told his story. He was abandoned by his parents when he just barely six. He lived up his life as a street urchin and improved his skill in theft to fill his stomach. Fueled with pity and mercy the king asked this boy, ‘Would you mind if I adopt you? To raise you as my children? To give you love and everything you need?’ This ex-thief now living his life as a prince. The queen also helps him and tries their best to make him happy.

This is just an illustration but this narrative is parallel to our lives. We did terrible things back then. We lived our lives deep in sins and mistakes. But our Father never looked us down. He raised us high above the ground, purified us, and made us His beloved children. Princes and princesses in His eternal Kingdom. That how His grace works. Not because we are worthy, but because God Himself makes us worthy. No matter how deep we were in sins and despair, as long as we have this unyielding will to find Him and seek His forgiveness, he will send His prophetic winds of Holy Spirit down to us. To sweep our sins away and also bring upon us new spiritual breakthrough.
