Do Not Afraid to Step up Following the Rhema of God (Noon)

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Undeniably, many people lost hope due to the current pandemic. Business sectors have gone out of business, failing to survive. The persisting high operational cost is burdening in the face of small if not absence of income. Relative to such backgrounds, starting a new business seems impossible. Sammy is no exclusion to these problems; being laid off and have no job resulted in him having no income at all. Amid doubts about his future, Sammy’s brother encouraged him to start a business. But Sammy was reluctant to try; he was afraid of failure and afraid of loss.

Unlike Sammy, his wife was so eager to start a new business. She had heard many sermons and testimonies of those whose business strive during the pandemic. She prayed and asked God for guidance. She found the strength dare to make a move. Sammy’s wife convinced him to start selling cheap but tasty chicken rice. A talented cook inside Sammy drove him to consider the option and calculated risks and possibilities of establishing such business. Finally, they solidified their faith and started the chicken rice business. The business began to grow where customers come daily, and he was so grateful for being able to create a new business amid such a hard currency and gain income.
Many of us are also reluctant to step up considering upcoming possibilities. However, when God provides Rhema, do not be afraid to step up in the midst of all risks. Remind ourselves that the spirit of fear terminates our peace and also our potential. God knows how much potential we have in ourselves. We just need to strengthen our belief in God and walk within His guidance. Conquer our fear, and God’s presence will provide us with live-long peace.
