Do Not Let Problems Put Out Your Fire (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Proverbs 27:1-27

RHEMA

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Since experiencing this personal encounter with God and feeling His great love for her, Lisa is committed to serving God with all her heart and soul. God also answered Lisa’s longing by placing her in a ministry that was in line with Lisa’s talents and passion. Lisa is very grateful for it and she really works in her ministry. But then, friends outside Lisa’s church started to protest. They feel that now it is difficult for Lisa to be invited to just hang out, or hang out with them.

Lisa’s time is already very busy with various routine activities, work, and services. So it is rather difficult for him to find time to hang out with his friends like he used to. Comments like, “How much do you pay Lisa, how come you want service until your time runs out?” or, “You know what, Lisa, you’re just being used by the church. If you always want, all the work will be burdened on you. ” no doubt it made Lisa’s ears turn red. He was eager to tell them that the wages he received from God, far exceeded what humans could afford. But Lisa realized if she was hot-hearted, she better delay answering. Finally, he just smiled meaningfully and made his friends even more curious.

There is always friction, either from outside or from within the service itself. But certainly, never allow it and let the friction extinguish the fire of our Spirit. Makes the zeal for service and saving extinguish. Open our hearts wide, God is speaking very clearly to all of us right now. Today God wants to touch and restore the hearts of each of us. When our hearts are healed, the fire will come ON again! In fact, we will be used by God even more in His apostolic mission.
