Fear is Not from God (Noon)

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Everyone has experienced fear. Fear can come upon anyone regardless of age, gender or ethnicity. Fear can come from various negative information that we receive, from newspapers, news on the internet, gossip, or it can also be from a doctor’s verdict. Unseen, just like a virus, fear will develop and destroy us from within if we allow it to enter our hearts. Like cancer cells, that fear will spread and rob all the blessings that God has in store for us.

The devil likes things or news that evokes feelings of fear because the devil can use them to paralyze us. The devil will send fear through our ears or eyes, and it will penetrate our hearts and minds. Therefore, learn to be able to conquer fear in our lives. Remember not to give room for fear to dominate our lives. As written in the Book of Job 3:25, “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.”

Yes, fear is not just a feeling, but an intimidating SPIRIT. The Word of God clearly says that God has never given us a spirit of fear, so it is clear that this spirit of fear is not from God. It comes from the devil who tries to steal, kill and destroy the peace and joy in our lives. God gives us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind., that’s why He gives Holy Spirit, “because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4: 4b). Cast out that fear in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! As long as we are alive, problems and challenges always exist. But, with the Holy Spirit, we have the power to conquer every spirit of fear.

Fear is a SPIRIT that comes from DEVIL.

1. Have you ever been gripped by fear?
2. What negative impact have you had from your fear?
3. After you realized that fear is a spirit that comes from the devil, what are your actions to conquer it?

“Jesus, thank you for your always being on our side in all situations. We do not want to live in fear, because we believe that the Spirit that is in us is greater than other spirits. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
