Following God’s Word is Superior to Others (Noon)

Proverbs 3:13-14 13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; 14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold.

It is common for us to have different opinions or views with other people. Likewise, Teddy, who often disagrees with his superiors. He who always works with honesty is judged by his superiors. It is not uncommon for him to be called by his superiors just because he has taken the initiative to do work before being asked. However, this did not stop Teddy from doing good things for the advancement of his company.

One time, Teddy found that there was a discrepancy between the data and the reality. He also questioned his superior. Instead of getting an answer, Teddy was scolded and considered to have crossed the line. He was asked to choose to resign or remain silent if he wanted to continue working. He was confused about what decision to make. Many friends advised Teddy to keep quiet. However, Teddy felt uneasy about his friends’ suggestions. Meanwhile, he did not want to resign. In his confusion, he prayed silently, asking God for guidance. He got an answer to his worries. He chose to follow what God said, not what his friends said. He went to his boss and he apologized even though he didn’t do anything wrong.

Oftentimes, we too are faced with a situation where we have to choose a decision. It’s not an easy thing to make decisions when we are under pressure. However, when we always follow God’s guidance, we can definitely choose the right and best decision. Yes, this decision to follow God’s Word is superior to any human example. Humans can be wrong and can change, but the Word of God remains the same forever and must be true. When we can make wise decisions by following the instructions of God’s word, then God will give extraordinary peace to our lives. God, Himself is the guarantee of our life.
