Have a Good Relationship with God (Evening)

Philippians 3:1-16

Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

Since his mother passed away 5 years ago, Jeremy started to leave God. He was very disappointed that God did not heal her and blamed God for her mother’s death. One day, his father fell ill, he had a fever and cough. At first, Jeremy thought his father had a common cold, but soon his 2 younger siblings became ill with the same symptoms. He started to feel unwell too. He took himself, his father, and his siblings for a swab test, and sure enough, they were positive for the Covid-19 virus.

He was scared and anxious, he was worried about his father who was old, and his youngest brother who had been weak since childhood. During the quarantine period, Jeremy thought a lot. His heart was very restless, he wanted to pray to God, but it was very difficult because he had been away from God for a long time. Unable to sleep, he turned on YouTube and found David’s Tent, 24/7 worship. In the silence of the night, Jeremy felt God’s presence in praise and worship. He could not stop crying, felt ashamed, sorry, and very guilty that he had blamed God. He begged for mercy, and his relationship with God was restored that very night. Praise God, he and his family have been improving quickly. The results of the subsequent swab tests, all tested negative.

In life, we must have experienced great shocks. It is easy for us to feel disappointed and angry with God. But if we follow our feelings and decide to stay away from God, then we will lose the source of eternal peace. Remember that God knows what is best for us, and His plans are perfect for our lives. As bad as it may appear to our eyes, God has a noble purpose behind all events. Today, try to check our relationship with God. If there is disappointment or bitterness, immediately make peace with God. Rebuild a good and close relationship with God, because only God can give us true peace and endless joy.
