He Wants Us to Unite (Morning)

TODAY’S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Psalm 133:1-3

TODAY’S RHEMA

Psalm 133:1 A song of ascents, by David. Look! How good and how pleasant it is when brothers live together!

Every member of Fanny’s cell group was solid before the Covid-19 spread. But, since strict health protocols were enacted, they could no longer meet in person. They must attend an online cell group. It felt different, Fanny said to herself. Many difficulties appeared: unstable internet connection, work from home, her cell group member was fired so they cannot afford to buy a regular data plan. Few of them had lost their inner spirit.

One at a time, her cell group was decreased in number or had a change of heart and faith. She was crying and asked God for help. After she’s done, she began to collect herself, rise up, and walk again. She started to gather again her cell group members. Without her knowing, she could feel the fire again, its warmth. Her cell group spirit was reignited once again.

Sure thing this Covid-19 pandemic causes our lives many harms. A lot of us even had a pessimistic thought, our lives could not be normal again. This outbreak shows us how egoistical we could be without God leads us. Through this Christmas moment, He reminds us that His love, His true love, cannot be separated by numbers and distance. Our physical body may not meet in person, but in heart and spirit, He makes us one.
