His Light Changes Our Paths of Life (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Isaiah 9:1-20

RHEMA

Isaiah 9:1 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

Reyna is a good daughter in law. She loves her mother in law dearly. But her mother in law doesn’t reciprocate it. In her eyes, whatever Reyna does, is never good enough for her. She even doesn’t want to recognize her as her daughter-in-law. It’s understandable if Reyna is hurt. One evening, a church counselor visits Reyna. He urges Reyna to forgive her mother in law and pray for her wellbeing. Not to mention to always treat her respectfully.

It’s difficult for sure. But Reyna diligently prays and asks for LORD’s wisdom. Her test comes when her mother in law is ill. She patiently and dutifully nurses her back. Touched by her selfless acts and with God’s intervention, she gets a change of heart. She misjudged her daughter in law. She was proven wrong. After that, she always takes pride in her beloved daughter in law. Reyna is the best in law, the world has ever had, in her eyes.

Perhaps, right now, there are Reynas among us. Forgotten, underappreciated, and abandoned. Tonight’s rhema tells us: The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. The light has already been here, it’s His promise. His light is coming and will change how the events of our lives would unravel. From despised and abandoned now you will become the joy and pride for nations. Let’s respond to His light.
