Knowing Jesus More (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Psalm 37:1-40

RHEMA

Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

This year, there is a prayer that Rosa prayed to God. He prayed that God would meet her with the best life partner. As she prayed, Rosa recognized several men who started to attract her. But Rosa didn’t just make her choice, she tried to get to know them better first. She considered their spiritual level, how they deal with problems, their characters, and other important things. Rosa did not want the wrong choice, she wanted to really know her future husband. Because later Rosa will spend the rest of her life and fight together with her to fulfill God’s vision of their lives.

We do need to know someone first before we can entrust our lives to him. These days it’s not easy, everything is so uncertain. We become increasingly aware that we need God as a Person who we can rely on. But to be able to entrust our life and future, we need to know well who our God is. How His power, also His faithfulness in helping us. And the parameters that can indicate how far we have known God are worry, anxiety and fear that often still arise in our hearts.

Often we feel that we know God well, but when a storm hits our finances, problems hit our family, or our jobs are ruined, we immediately lose our joy. Our hearts are filled with fear and anxiety. THIS SHOWS THAT WE DO NOT KNOW WHO OUR GOD IS WELL. Therefore, in this Christmas moment, let us get to know our Lord closer and how much He loves us. Christmas is proof that God never wants us to get hurt and experience destruction. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32). Therefore, if right now our faith is weak, KNOW Him even more seriously. We will be enabled to face all situations victoriously. Hallelujah!
