Our Success in Life Is Guaranteed by God (Morning)

Psalm 121:1-2 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills––From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

It’s not a secret to know that King David had a deep relationship with God. Today’s rhema was also written by him. Ever since Samuel anointed him to replace king Saul and led Israelites against the Philistines he proved his loyalty to God many times. He always seeks God’s guidance for even the most trivial thing. He won’t let his ego overwhelmed his judgment and make him prideful. When he let God decided, he also let God gave him victory.

We could see how well the bible narrates his campaign against Philistine in 2 Samuel 5. After he emerged victoriously, the Philistine wanted revenge and preparing a counterattack. After his first victory David, humble as he is, still asked God what should be done. God ever generous as He is, gave David a thorough plan on how to defeat Philistine the second time.

David clearly understood that everything he owned is from God. He acknowledged, that only God can ensure victory. The tale of “David the invincible” because God made him the invincible. God supported him and enable him to be fruitful. That’s one thing, the other thing is: David’s God is our God too. The same God that made David invincible could make us invincible. He could bring us victories as He gave David more than two millennia ago. By making Him our foundation, He will make sure each of us could be fruitful.

1. Have you made Him the only support in your life?
2. Why do you need to make Him the foundation of your life?
3. Then what will you do to reach that goal and to be fruitful?

“Good Father, forgive us for our trespasses, especially pride. From now on, we want to depend on You only and be fruitful. Let us be a blessing for those around us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
