Respond to God’s Will (Evening)
Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
It has been a year that teaching-learning activities at schools had to be done online. This is government policy to prevent virus transmission and the emergence of new clusters. Online school is a problem for some students because not all students can learn independently. Likewise, not all parents have the time to teach their children at home. Josh, a 3 junior high school student, faced this difficulty. Studying at home makes him difficult to concentrate. He is tempted to play games or other social media when he is supposed to open Google Classroom. As a result, he couldn’t finish the task given by the teacher.
Nearing the end of the first semester, his teacher came to visit him. The teacher asks what difficulty he was facing and gives a solution for overcoming it. His teacher suggests that he must be consistent in doing his daily assignments. He also says that this is an opportunity for students who are not good at school but are diligent in doing their assignments. Because not all clever students are diligent in doing assignments, while report cards are obtained from the assignments that are submitted. Josh obeys the instructions of his teacher. Even though it is not easy, he manages to submit every assignment to the teacher daily. As a result, he got a better score on every school assignment.
When someone loves and cares about us, s/he will provide useful and beneficial guidance for us. In this world, no one loves us more and wants us to move forward than God. If we realize this, then we will FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS to respond to God’s desire to bring us UP. Worship God seriously, join the discipleship meeting held by our pastor because God is talking to us through the spoken word. Catch every rhema and do our part faithfully, then God Himself will take us to fly high over every problem.
RESPOND to God’s desire to take us up by FOLLOWING HIS INSTRUCTIONS.
1. How much do you desire to fly high over your every problem today?
2. In your opinion, in what ways does God tell you His instructions?
3. What will you do to respond to every instruction from God that you receive?
“Jesus, we are grateful to have You who love us so much. Help us God to be able to understand every instruction You tell us in various ways and enable us to do it. Thank you, Lord. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
