Stay Close to God (Morning)
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
In recent technological advances, unreliable unstable internet connections and frequent blackouts are things that cannot be tolerated. Especially in this situation, almost every aspect of life must be done online. The result: many parents and employees must reach deep into their pockets to buy data packets, electricity bills, or else. Many companies also upgraded their internet connection to make things run smoothly. Our dependence on electricity nowadays is quite staggering.
Based on this analogy, we must be attached to a source to be more productive and innovative. Before civilization, humans never settle in certain areas permanently. Their nomadic, hunter-gatherer lifestyle prohibits innovation because their energy was used to something else aside from inventing. After the first human community knew agriculture and settled in, humanity took a huge leap forward.
Our spiritual lives also mirror this. Do you still live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle? If you want to be fruitful, the key lies in today’s rhema: abides in Him. Permanently. Renew your commitment. Whether in difficulties or joy, in happiness or sorrow. If constant internet connection and electricity could make your life to be more productive, imagine what 24/7 in God could affect your life.
Another way to be ROOTED DEEPLY in Him and BE FRUITFUL is to STAY CLOSE and live inside Him.
1. Do you abide in God? Why?
2. In your opinion, what is the correlation between abiding in God and being fruitful?
3. What are your commitments to stay with Him and then be fruitful?
“Good Father, we are grateful for Your rhema. Teach us to always stay with You, living inside of You, and consistently follow Your commandment. Deepen our roots and expand our reach to be fruitful in this life and testify Your Name even more. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
