Stop Listening to Devil’s Accusation (Noon)

1 Peter 5:1-11

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Rose had made a mistake in her youth. The wrong choice of friends made her fall into a bad companion. When she went to college and had to live in a boarding house away from her parents, she got pregnant. She was very scared and ashamed. Rose regretted what she had done with her lover. Feelings of guilt always haunted her. Her world seemed so gloomy and scary, she also turned into a quiet and gloomy person, even though previously Rose had an open and cheerful personality.

Time passed, Rose finally married her lover and gave birth to her child. However, Rose was still filled with guilt. The devil seemed to always remind him of the mistakes he had made. Rose lived in regret and had no joy in her life and household. She even distances herself from her church community because of feelings of guilt and shame. Rose also did not dare to gather with fellow believers.

Are there among us who also experienced what Rose experienced? We always live in the shadow of past sins, as if we have made a big mistake that cannot be forgiven. If so, today God wants each of us to no longer live in regret for past sins. Even though maybe the mistakes or sins we have committed are so great, don’t let the devil continue to accuse us. Learn to close your ears to all of the devil’s accusations, so that we don’t continue to live in regret and joy. Come to the Lord Jesus, confess your sins, and ask for forgiveness and promise not to repeat. Believe that when we confess it, God will replace him with forgiveness and joy. We too can experience complete recovery when we can live free from guilt.

If we listen to all the accusations of the devil, we can experience a life full of REGRET and NO JOY.

1. In what ways have you often been accused by the devil?
2. Have you been able to stop listening to all the accusations of the devil?
3. Why should you turn a blind ear to all the devil’s accusations?

“Lord Jesus, teach us to stop listening to all the accusations of the devil. We don’t want to live in the shadow of the past. We want to live in Your forgiveness and grace so that we can rejoice in You. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
