Stop Listening to Our Porsecutor (Morning)

TODAY’S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Revelation 12:7-12

TODAY’S RHEMA

Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

“It was all your fault!” That’s what Linda’s parents said to Sarah. “You disfigured our daughter’s face! Look at her now! What she has done to you?” Sarah knew she has something to say, but her lips were closed tight and her head was empty. For two weeks, she visited her close friend, Linda. And for two whole weeks, Linda’s parents adamantly denied her. At first, she defended herself, she didn’t throw acid into Linda’s face, she just asked Linda to watch the concert. She was also a victim, albeit the chemical mixture only burnt his arm.

Even Linda didn’t blame Sarah for her misfortune. ‘Do not blame yourself’ Linda once said, ‘It was all a terrible accident.’ But slowly Sarah internalized it into her heart. ‘It was all my fault.’ If only she never agreed to Linda’s invitation. If only she didn’t insist on watching on the first seats and instead of watching from afar. If only she knew that someone hates the artist then took shelter in a safe place. If only she could shield Linda with her own body. If only she can push Linda away.

We cannot expect terrible misfortunes in our lives. Sometimes terrible things happened because they were the consequences of our actions. Guilt is necessary but don’t let it controls your life. The devil will always find a way to sneak in and prosecute your heart again yourself. When he finally finds one, it will be a downward spiral, he will use it with great effect to bring us down. His prosecution first was just simple guilt, after that settled it then will invade your heart. After your heart was successfully beaten and conquered your mind and body will follow shortly after. At this fierce trial, we are not alone. We have our ‘lawyer’. Be honest with Him and He will find a way or two to settle your case and erase all cases against you.
