Strength and Courage of Divine Confidence (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Joshua 1:1-18

RHEMA

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Children are known for their innocence and spontaneity. They would believe everything their parents say. When they are still learning to walk and fall repeatedly, they will always get up and try to walk again when their parents give encouragement and praise. Even though their legs are not strong yet because they have never been used to walk upright, they believe they can walk and even run to their parents who are ready to meet with their arms open in front of them. With confidence, they will continue to stand when they fall and try again until they can finally walk.

The TRUST in the parents gives the children strength and courage to do what his parents say. Because for them, parents are never wrong, whatever they say must be right. So, if their parents say ‘You can do it’, then they believe they can. From there comes confidence which is very important for growth and development.

Likewise, our Father in Heaven always tries to give us divine confidence. Often due to various pressures and difficulties in life, we become weak. We may lose confidence and think of ourselves as failures. Today the word of the Lord says to all of us, _”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”_ (Joshua 1: 9) God wants us to realize that we are His children, His beloved people, whom He has bought us at price. We are so precious in the eyes of God the Creator of the universe, and if He promises to be with us wherever we go, what else should we worry about? Keep this in our hearts, the divine confidence we have will strengthen and courage us in the face of everything.
