The Birth of a Child Is a Moment of Joy for the Parents (Noon)
John 16:21 A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
People are amazed and emotional watching videos of a laboring mom. How she bravely faces the pain and the risk of death is astonishing. The mother will further struggle with complicated labor. Despite such struggle, the birth of a child is always special. The pain and struggle during laboring fade away hearing the baby’s first cry. Everything turns into relief and joy over the safe birth of the child.
The presence of a child in a family is waited by every parent. There are fortunate couples who don’t have to wait long to have a child while others wait longer for God to answer their longing. Just like Abraham, a great figure in the bible, who God blessed in his life. But the absence of a child seems to make everything worthless. However, due to the faith of Abraham, who waited for God to fulfill His promise, his wife Sarah got pregnant and gave birth to a child in Abraham’s old days. They name the child Isaac, which means “laughing” because his birth brought laughter, joy, and great happiness to Abraham and Sarah.
There are joy and hope for the future that comes with the birth of a child. For parents, accept the great blessing of God and honor it by teaching the children fearing God. For the awaits, hold on to the promise of God just like Abraham had the faith for the promised son. As children, remember that our birth was a great joy to our parents. Stay as joy-bringing children even if we are no longer young.
Parents will be EXTREMELY HAPPY witnessing THE BIRTH OF THEIR CHILDREN to the world.
