The Importance of Preparation for Going to the Next level (Sunday)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Proverbs 20:18 Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war.

There is a story of an adventurous young man who failed and was stranded in the wildness of Alaska. His adventure began in the spring of 1981. He flew to the remote north to photograph the beautiful scenery of the ice fields. He equipped himself with 500 rolls of film, guns, and 1400 pounds of supplies. The months passed, and the pages of his diary turned from his admiration for the wildlife around him into sad notes. In August he wrote, “I should have planned more carefully about my departure.” He ran out of supplies. He was waiting for help to arrive but no one came to save him. In November, the young man died in a valley near an unnamed lake 225 miles north of Fairbanks. An investigation revealed that he had planned his departure well but that he did not plan how he should leave the area.

Inadequate planning, often leading to failure. That is why if we want us to truly experience the year of God’s glory, then we need to make careful planning in all aspects of our lives: in our family life, our work, our business, our finances, our ministry, etc. A saying goes: “One who does not plan carefully plans to fail.”
