The Key for The Promise be Fulfilled (Morning)

Philippians 3:10-16

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

That afternoon, Mrs. Susie, told her children her past. Years ago, she was devastated by various incidents. Her husband passed away. While she was still grieving, her colleague embezzled her money and ran away with it. She lost hundreds of millions. She, a widower and had no solid income, tried her best to raise her first child, on her own.

In the same year, the Holy Spirit whispered into her ears, to pray for her neighbor’s house. Her late husband was already keeping an eye on this particular property and wanted to buy it. But back when her husband was alive and well, her neighbor hesitated to sell it. When her husband was no more, her neighbor finally sold it. When Holy Spirit urged her to pray for this property, she had no intention to do it. She would let anybody to buy it. When the time came and she realized that her neighbor sold it at an unbelievable low price, the writing was already on the wall.

God puts our lives in miseries with good intentions and purposes, even though we cannot see it yet. By this logic, your past is your stepping stone, to make you jump higher and higher. If our past still haunts us and we refuse to move on from it, it’s our fault, not Him. He wants to raise up high up in the sky but we hold our feet firmly on solid ground. Let go of your past events and set your eyes at His promise only. Believe in Him because He already prepared a new brighter future for us.

To His promises of BRIGHTER FUTURE to be fulfilled, you MUST RISE UP FROM YOUR PAST.

1. Do you have already rose up from your past?
2. In your opinion, what makes it so difficult for you to rise up?
3. What is your current commitment to rise together with God?

“LORD, from now, I want to move forward from my past and previous life. Every failure, wound, disappointment, and bitterness, I want to leave it behind. Right now, I want to set our sights on a brand new future, a future set by You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
