The Key to Experiencing Greater Glory (Morning)

Zechariah 4:1-10

Zechariah 4:6 Therefore he told me, “These signify the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by strength and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord who rules over all.”

After his 200th birthday anniversary, Abraham Lincoln is still considered the best president the United States of America could ever dream or asked for. This claim is based on a thorough study by 65 American seasoned professional historians. One of Mr. Abraham Lincoln’s keys to be the best president is his willingness to rely on God and ask for His guidance. One day a close acquaintance of him walked over to his bedroom, the door wasn’t fully closed and he heard and saw something that he remembered for the rest of his day. There, kneeled Mr. President, the most powerful man in America, clasped his hand and whispered softly: Jesus Christ, help me, Holy Spirit, lead us to run this huge nation.

Today’s rhema also mentioned the very same thing Mr. Abraham Lincoln once said in his bedtime prayers. How important it is to rely on His help and advice. Zerubbabel was a great governor, chosen by GOD. GOD chose him to supervise Second Temple’s building in Jerusalem. Though many obstacles and incidents Zerubbabel was able to finish his task. Exactly like what Zechariah prophecied a long time before. Not because of his power and abilities, but because GOD enabled him to do so.

Our accomplishments, our achievements, our success, are all come to naught if we do not rely on God. It would be a different story if we let Holy Spirit contribute or even better, let God handles and manifests His works through us. It’s time to go full throttle, no more holding back. It’s His time to shine and we are His mere lanterns. Through us, Isaiah 60 would be fulfilled by the end of this year.

GREATER GLORY could only be experienced in we depend on Him and RELY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT.

1. Have you let the Holy Spirit take control of your daily life?
2. Why it is necessary to rely on the Holy Spirit?
3. What can you do to involve the Holy Spirit more in your life?

“Father, I am grateful because I have You, all-powerful and Almighty LORD. Teach me to rely on You in all aspects of my life. Through darkness light will emerges from my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
