Things that Grieve The Holy Spirit (Noon)

1 Corinthians 6: 18-19 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Nowadays we live in a rapidly developing technology era. We can get everything easily. In the past, if we wanted to know about something, we had to go to the library, open an encyclopedia, or unpack a pile of newspapers and magazines. But now, we only have to open our cellphone or laptop and in an instant, we can get the information needed. This is technology.

But apart from positive benefits, there are many negative things from technology if we have bad intentions. Pornographic sites can be easily accessed by anyone, even children. People nowadays no longer care about moral issues and holiness. Things that were once taboo are now considered normal and have even become the lifestyle of modern society. Likewise with the presence of social media which allows us to share personal moments, stories, captions or comments with our friends. It would be nice if we use the media to spread love and glorify God.

Especially in this year of the Holy Spirit, the year where the Holy Spirit reveals His presence and power in an extraordinary way. We must always remember that everything that is unclean and negative are things that can grieve the Holy Spirit. Apart from the words that come out of our mouths and fingers, things in our hearts can grieve Him too, such as disappointment, anger, bitterness, and evil thoughts. Therefore, let us reduce, even avoid doing these things. it and add something that can please Him, so that we will receive the approval of the Holy Spirit and this year will be a very special year of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Jesus bless you.
