To Achieve thorough Restoration (Morning)

Isaiah 43:8-21

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

“Why I was born in this family? Why my parents are like this? Why it is always me to blame everything? Why they don’t want to be my friends?” May has other questions but they follow the same template: self-pity and shadow of her failures. Unable to get her favorite school, check. Unable to get her dream job, check. Unable to tell her crush, check. The list goes on and on. She also blames her unfortunate upbringing, her parents, and her tiny circle of friends as well.

Those things make May do not have high hopes or visions about her own future. She lives her life as it is. Pessimistic and nihilistic. Doubtful and timid. Her life goes nowhere because her mindset makes it so.

Just like May, are there (yes it is plural) any of us who hesitate to move forward? If you answer that question with YES then today’s rhema tells us there’s no need to remember the former things. Instead of looking behind now divert your attention to God. Behold, He will give you thorough restoration for your soul and your life. The former thing had been done, we cannot do a thing to reshape it. But today, present, we still can shape it and then mold the future into our own will. Our mistakes should be our best mentor. Our past may be filled with disappointments and tragedies, but when God intervenes, our future will be magnificent and blessed. Our happiness and success are not predetermined by others but by God’s intervention and our own will.

Stop blaming your past and FOCUS your energy on a BRIGHTER FUTURE.

1. Do you still occasionally blame your lamentable past? Why?
2. Why you can no longer blame your past life and must focus your energy and attention on your future?
3. What will you do to focus on your energy and attention towards the future?

“Jesus Christ, I want to let go of my dark past. I want to go straight forward and focus my attention on a brighter hopeful future with You with me. I firmly believe that my life will be so much better if I only set our sights on future events with You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
