Victory Over Sin (Evening)

Colossians 2:6-15

Colossians 2:13-14 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

In a battle, defending is used as a strategy to wait for the right moment to launch an attack. But to fight the devil, that is not an option. In James 4: 7 it is written, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” There is only one way to achieve victory over the devil, which is to fight back and keep attacking. If we only survive, the attacks, tricks, and intimidation of the devil will eventually undermine our faith and fighting power so that we will suffer a crushing defeat.

Long before we were born, demons existed in this world. He is much older, more experienced, cunning, and always eyeing the downfall of every child of God. Apart from ourselves and God, the devil also knows what we experience and do throughout our lives. And he takes advantage of his knowledge to accuse and intimidate us at every turn. For that, we must not give opportunities and must dare to reject every intimidation by the devil against us about all the negative words he has directed at us. Remember that all these charges are no longer applicable to us.

Keep in our memory that God has REMOVED all charges and has ENSURED our VICTORY over sin on the cross (Colossians 2: 13-14). From now on, do not be deceived and accept the devil’s words. Use prophetic declarations whenever the devil tries to weaken our faith. Spend time with God through reading the Word. Look at how the living word of God will become a sword of spirit that breaks and destroys every attack by the devil who wants us to fail into God’s great plan. With God on our defense team, victory is a certainty!

God has REMOVED ALL CHARGES and has ENSURED our VICTORY over sin on the cross.

1. Do you often feel accused by the devil? What impact did it have on your life?
2. How have you reacted so far?
3. With what can you fight against each of the devil’s charges?

“Lord Jesus, we are very grateful because You have nullified all charges against us by the power of Your cross. We will study and meditate on Your Word even more so that we can fight and even attack the devil who always tries to keep us away from You. We believe, from now on, we will get victory after victory with You. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
