Weakness Is A Clear Sign that We Need God Even More (Evening)
2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
That morning, Mike’s motorcycle could not start. He failed to get it running in several tries. He then checked the horn, which did not work. He checked the turn signal also was not working, just as he predicted. He assumed, by these symptoms, that her electrical system is malfunctioning. He went to check his motorcycle battery when he saw the Accu water was below the standard line; unsurprisingly, his motorcycle failed to ignite. Once he fixes the battery, his motorbike returned to normal.
A motorcycle’s battery is crucial as it is the source of electricity for a vehicle’s equipment, such as the starter, horn, or lights. The level of the battery must routinely be checked because it may defect at any time. For this, we to familiarize ourselves with the type of battery and how to do the routine check to detect any defection earlier.
Just like a battery that needs to be well taken care of to work properly, our life also needs to be routinely monitored and taken care of. When we are sad or feeling weak, that is a sign that we need God more. Do not let the weakness destroys our life; hurry ourselves to find God to recover it. We must be grateful that our church is commencing 21 days of fasting prayer because fasting prayer is one prominent way to recharge our spirit. Through fasting and prayer, we will receive new power to rise and become victorious.
When we are feeling WEAK, it is the sign that we NEED God EVEN MORE.
1. Are you feeling weak, sad, or tired at the moment? Why?
2. Are you aware that when you are feeling weak, it means that you need God even more? Why?
3. What is your commitment to draw closer to God and gain new power?
“Father, we thank You for everything that You’ve done in our life. Even when we are weak, we thank You because we know without you, we are nothing. In our weakness, Your power reign even more upon us. Thank You, Father, we accept the new power of You. In the name of Lord Jesus, we pray, Amen.”
