With God, We Are Extraordinary (Evening)
FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Psalm 104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty,
Melbourne, Australia December 4, 1982, Nick Vujicic was born with tetra amelia syndrome, a rare syndrome that means being born without arms and legs. Her father worked in an administrative office as well as an evangelist and her mother was a midwife and nurse. Nick had a lot of trouble with his physical condition. When he was 10 years old, he tried to commit suicide by drowning himself in a bathtub because of the bullying he experienced at school. Luckily Nick has very supportive parents. One day his mother showed him an article about a disabled man who had overcome his problem. Nick was inspired, he began to rise and become a motivator in church groups. Nick became a professional speaker at the age of 19 and his career continued to climb. Until now, Nick has published eight books and translated into 30 languages. Nick is a non-profit evangelistic organization and has visited more than 69 countries in his ministry. He also owns a company that releases motivational songs and videos.
Although not everyone is born with a perfect physique, God created each of us powerfully and wonderfully. We are created in the image and image of God. When the prophet Jeremiah received God’s call, he was less than 20 years old, he was not confident because he was not good at talking. But God said to Jeremiah: don’t say you’re young! Don’t say you can’t! Don’t be insecure! Don’t be humble! I am with you! (Jeremiah 1)
Throughout the Bible, there are so many incidents where God strengthens His servants so that their confidence will emerge. Whatever our current situation, whether we are young, old or our economy is weak, maybe even we have low education, God wants us to rise up and realize our true identity. Do not be consumed by the devil’s tricks who want us to be weak and continue to be helpless. But praise our great God, the God who really loves and wants us to level up in all areas. Don’t feel inferior anymore, don’t feel inferior or inadequate. Maybe we are just ordinary people, but WITH GOD, we are extraordinary people!
RISE UP, for we are extraordinary people WITH GOD.
1. Are you currently experiencing a confidence crisis? What is the cause?
2. What does God want you to do?
3. Try to remember what you have successfully done with God.
“Father, we are very grateful to have God who always strengthens us, so that we may have divine confidence. We are incapable and nobody, but with You, we are extraordinary people. Thank you, Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus we pray. Amen.”
