Face and Overcome Problems with God (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Deuteronomy 31:1-8

RHEMA

Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Melody and Nancy have been friends for more than ten years. There were problems, different principles, different opinions in deciding things. However, they chose to face it and solve it together. They would look for their cell leader if their problems were prolonged. By God’s help, their relationship was reconciled.

We cannot avoid problems in any kind of relationship, including in the ministry. In fact, problems potentially occur here because we are not angels, but just ordinary people can make mistakes. There might be hurtful words, misunderstandings, or unpleasant attitude shown. If a person’s soul has not yet been restored and he joins a ministry, then he is likely to be disappointed.

Do not be afraid to join the ministry just because there will be problems. The Word of God says, As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17). If we face and solve it with God, then problems will actually make us mature even more. Therefore, we need to receive complete healing from God, so that not only ourselves are completely healed, but also our lives become a blessing for others. With a healthy soul, we can carry out God’s mission to reach souls better and more effectively.

REFLECTION

Don’t be afraid of the PROBLEMS you are facing. FACE and OVERCOME with God.

APPLICATIONS

1. What problems have you faced or are you currently facing?
2. What happens when you try to deal with it and solve it on your own STRENGTH?
3. When you face it with God, do you feel any difference?

PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, when we have problems with our family or with other people, we want to fully trust You. With God, we can face and solve it well. Thank you, Lord, in the name of the Lord Jesus we pray. Amen.”

When Our Soul is Totally Restored, We Can Face All Challenges (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

2 Timothy 1:3-18

RHEMA

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Disappointment. It is the feeling that is most often and easily experienced by all human beings. Naturally, we humans want things to go well and smoothly. In fact, we can never control other people or situations always according to our hopes and desires. And this makes us finally disappointed. The failures we experience are also a factor in the emergence of feelings of disappointment. We feel like we did our best, gave our all, but we still fail.

If this feeling of disappointment is allowed to drag on, over time it will cause bitterness in the heart, loss of hope, or become anger. Without us knowing it, our souls that were originally created by God, clean and healthy, are now contaminated with various negative feelings. And just as a body that is continuously exposed to contamination will gradually become sick, so our souls which are eroded by disappointment, hurt, bitterness, prejudice, anger, and so on, will become sick. People who are mentally ill, easily give up or respond negatively when they are met with challenges. They become emotional, defensive, selfish, often stressed, depressed and a myriad of other negative things, which of course make it difficult or even hurt others.

Speaking of disappointment, it’s good for us to learn from Jesus. Jesus, who because of His great love for us, was willing to come to earth to surrender Himself so that we might be saved, was slandered. Jesus was often cornered and often bullied. And most disappointingly, when Jesus needed to support the most, the disciples whom He loved so much left Him. Alone facing humiliation, torture, and punishment He should not have received. But the love of Jesus STILL UNCHANGED, He did not become disappointed and changed His decisions. He remained strong, enduring everything He had to face to accomplish His mission to come to earth. Today, if any of us are still hurt, come to the Lord immediately. Receive complete healing of our souls. Because only those whose souls have fully restored will be strong in facing various kinds of challenges and achieve great victories in the apostolic mission that God has entrusted.

REFLECTION

Having a TOTAL RESTORED SOUL makes us STRONG in facing all kinds of CHALLENGES.

APPLICATIONS

1. What are some signs to you that your soul has experienced a complete restoration?
2. Why would people whose souls have not been restored, find it difficult to carry out the mission of God?
3. How is the attitude of your heart after your soul is totally restored when facing various kinds of challenges?

PRAYER

“Jesus, thank you for coming to completely heal and restore our souls. We are aware of the many challenges that lie ahead, but we believe, with a fully restored soul, we will be able to carry out the apostolic mission well. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

Let’s Respond to the Duty: Share theGospel (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

2 Corinthians 11:7-33

RHEMA

2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.

Almolonga was a very poor city. The people were very impecunious and addicted to alcohol. Violence, black magic, idolatry, it’s all there. The government built 4 prison buildings but could not accommodate prisoners because too many people were imprisoned so excess prisoners were routinely transported to another nearby town. To ease their suffering, many people made idols and amulets. In this era, the gospel could not enter the city. The evangelists who came would be driven out, wherein the small house church would be stoned. Evangelists will be excluded as a minority.

One day, 6 people had their guns pointed at Ps. Mariano, one of the pastors there. When the muggers were about to pull the trigger, Ps. Mariano screamed at God and when the trigger was released, nothing happened. He then gathered several people to pray. It was time to break the bonds of violence, superstition, and poverty. They fasted 3-4 days a week. Every Saturday they gathered to pray together. That’s when the door opened. “People are liberated and saved, they come to church. There was a great revival. After many miraculous signs occurred and many people were released from the bonds of the devil, the church started to grow. ” Today there are more than 24 evangelical churches in Almolonga with a population of around 19,000 people. Ps. Mariano accommodates about 1,200 people and is almost always full at every service. The presence of the Holy Spirit is not only measured by church growth but also He is working in the busy trading area in Almolonga, which reveals the very real impact of social transformation. Streets and buildings are also given the Bible name.

Given the current conditions, maybe we are not so sure that we can be used by God to bring healing to others, indeed there are many challenges we will face when we preach the gospel of salvation. But be aware, when God commands us to do something, God will give us the ability to do it! Jesus bless you.

REFLECTION

Be prepared because there will ALWAYS be CHALLENGES in SHARING THE GOSPEL.

APPLICATIONS

1. Are you ready to face challenges when sharing the gospel of Christ?
2. What challenges do you face while sharing the gospel?
3. What is your commitment to be fruitful for Christ and save lost souls for God?

PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, thank you for Your Word this day. Teach us, Holy Spirit, to be brave and ready to accept all challenges when we preach the gospel because we know that You are always with us and helping us. Thanks, God. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we have prayed. Amen.”

With God, We Can Do All Things

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Isaiah 60:1-22

RHEMA

Isaiah 60:22 The least of you will multiply into a thousand; the smallest of you will become a large nation. When the right time comes, I the Lord will quickly do this!”

He is our church’s member. His name is Avallo and he was born with special needs. He told us, after Teens and Youth’s first service, Holy Spirit made him understand the rhema taught that day. He testified, when he attended Teens and Youth service in a certain mall, God reminded him to pray and brought souls. God gave him a glimpse of two that two souls, his friends. Without any hesitation, he responded and asked his two friends, Alvin and Denny.

It is not an easy task. First, he must rise with his bicycle to pick Alvin from his house 1,5 miles away from his home. Then they turned back and headed in another direction to pick Deny 3 and a half miles away from Alvin’s house. After all, settled, they headed to the church. Is it all? No. He then bought his friends drinks and if somehow they forgot to bring tithes, he covered them up.

It’s Avallo, a teenager with special needs. God really uses him thoroughly. His sheer will, determination, and commitment. Now, how about us? How about you? This month God would really use His instrument, us, to fulfill Isaiah 60. The smallest would become a huge nation. The smallest of you could bring a whole nation to God. Throw away anxieties, doubts, fears, and lack of confidence away. With Him beside us, who dare to oppose us? He called us by name and blessed us to multiply and grow. He wants us to live with a certain purpose in our minds. To save people. To bring them back. He heals our lives and then makes our lives a blessing to others.

REFLECTION

WITH HIM, we CAN do everything, including be soul winners.

APPLICATIONS

1. What do you think about being a soul winner? Is it an easy or difficult task to do?
2. Have you have received healing from God? If yes, are you willing to be a great blessing to others?
3. What do you have in mind to start following His lead and follow Him?

PRAYER

“Father, because of today’s rhema our hearts were opened, and we realized, You had healed our hearts and lives. Your sole purpose to do that is because You want us to be a great blessing to others. Use our lives to reach the lost ones, because we know You enable us to do everything. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”

Do Not Limit God’s Power (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

1 Corinthians 1:18-31

RHEMA

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Pastor Benitez, a native of Mexico, contracted polio when he was 2 years old and has never been able to walk. But the pastor did not allow his disability to stop him from answering the call of God on his life. Benitez has repeatedly risked his life over the years to make a six-hour trek up the mountains to the village of La Laguna to witness the indigenous people who live there.

He then decided to host a project that would allow everyone around the world to take part in evangelistic missions by filling a box with toys, school supplies, personal items, and other gifts, accompanied by a small book of Bible stories. These boxes were then shipped to more than 160 countries, including 50 remote areas such as La Laguna. And as a result, more than 100 La Laguna children, whom he fought for, accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior. These children later became little evangelists for their families.

Often we limit God’s power to use our lives with our limitations. We forget that He can use anything and anyone to fulfill His will and plans. In Numbers 22:28, God opened the mouth of the donkey to rebuke and remind the prophet Balaam who wanted to curse the Israelites. Donkey is a tame animal but is not smart, but in this incident, Balaam’s donkey showed intelligence because of God’s power. So don’t ever think that God can’t use our lives because the world thinks we are stupid and weak. We are God’s chosen people to accept and live the apostolic mission. Do not ever give up with circumstances, but receive complete healing and rise forward to save souls in God. Jesus bless you.

REFLECTION

NEVER LIMIT God’s power to USE our LIFE with our limitations.

APPLICATIONS

1. What has restricted you from accepting a mission from God?
2. Can you believe that God is more than your limitations?
3. What is your commitment to no longer limit God’s power to use you?

PRAYER

“Father, thank you for reminding us not to limit Your power in our lives. Yes, we are limited, but You who live in me are limitless. This is our life, Father, use it according to Your plan. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

Our Lives will be Completely Transformed when the Holy Spirit Visits and Touches Us (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Hebrews 10:19-39

RHEMA

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Todd White is a street evangelist, founder, and church leader of the Lifestyle Christianity Watauga, Texas. He was an atheist and drug addict. He often stole and cheated so he was chased by police many times. A pastor evangelized to him and advised him to serve God. He then started to come to the church and tried hard to stop using drugs, but his condition still fluctuated. One day he deceived a drug dealer. The dealer fired bullets at a close range. At the same time, Todd heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, “I am taking the bullet from you, are you ready to live for Me?” In short, Todd survived, and he gave himself to serve God. Since then he has been radical in preaching the Gospel and God is equipping him with the marvelous gift of healing.

When Jesus was arrested, judged, and finally died on the cross, the disciples of Jesus experienced the collapse of faith. They lost their guide and hopeless. After His resurrection, Jesus was very aware of the conditions of the disciples at that time. They needed to be restored to receive the apostolic mandate. And finally, after they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they rose again with fire. They became extraordinary apostles. There were powers and miracles which guided each of their ministries.

How about us today? Do we feel as if what we do is like hitting a solid wall, stuck, and cannot go forward anymore? Today, God longs for each of us to experience a complete restoration because there is a great plan that God has planned through our lives. God has done His part so that we have received forgiveness over every sin and mistakes. Our hearts have been cleansed from the evil conscience and our bodies have been washed by the pure water. There is no other excuse to stay in adversity. This is the time for us to raise. There is a power that guides when the Holy Spirit fills our lives. Our lives will be transformed into new creations who are ready to carry out the great mandate of God to be the extraordinary fishermen of the souls.

REFLECTION

LET the Holy Spirit to REVIVE AND TOUCH our hearts, then our LIVES will be completely TRANSFORMED.

APPLICATIONS

1. Have you let the Holy Spirit revive and touch your heart?
2. If you have not, what is the reason? If you have, what has changed in you and your life?
3. What will you do for God after your life is completely changed?

PRAYER

“Father, we open our hearts for Your Holy Spirit to come and completely reviving our lives. Touch our hearts and transform us to be new beings. The ones who are ready to receive the mission of the kingdom of God to save the souls. Thank you, Father. In the name of Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

The Wounded Soul Makes Us Difficult to Get Close to God (Noon)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Psalm 73:1-28

RHEMA

Psalm 73:21-22 Thus my heart was grieved, And I was vexed in my mind. I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You.

Most people are often hiding real conditions from the outside world. There is a truth to it because not everyone needs to know about our problems. But usually, people who are just being silent and not trying to seek help or a way out think that they have already forgotten what hurt their hearts and souls. Assuming that they can move on, but the fact is the wound is still there and gawking in their hearts. They only try to cover the wound with pseudo comfort or a temporary solution that does not last long.

The heart and soul wounds that happen repetitively and never get treated accordingly will make it difficult for us to get close to God without us realizing it. We want to grow and bear fruit, but always experience setbacks in the end. We actually long to serve, but always end up with problems and frictions. We actually have the heart to follow the movement and receive anointing, but our lives have never really experienced a great or meaningful transformation. To the point that it feels tiring to go with Jesus.

This life that is filled with challenges, tribulations, and frictions will be very tiring if we do not draw close to Jesus. If we only rely on our strength, we will quickly lose encouragement, tired, and weary. We will always need to be given a new encouragement, prayed for, be encouraged, and so on. Do not even think about helping and saving others, it feels like we are not even able to raise ourselves and need help from others. All those are due to the wound within our souls which have never been completely healed. Those wounds will consume our energy and thoughts. Come, do not let our souls suffer any longer, do not doubt and afraid to come to God. No matter how bitter our hearts are, even we still do not understand the meaning, feeling stupid or dumb, but just stay still on the feet of God. Because only by being close to God alone will we receive restoration, TOTAL HEALING of our hearts, souls, and bodies. Making us new beings who are ready to be sent on the great mission of God to save souls.

REFLECTION

WOUND in our SOULS makes us DIFFICULT TO GET CLOSE to God.

APPLICATIONS

1. Is there any wound that has not been healed in your heart right now?
2. What is the impact of that wounded soul in your lives?
3. Have you realized that the grace of God is greater than each of your struggles? Would you like to receive the gift of restoration and total healing from God?

PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, help us to be bold to open each of our heart and soul wounds before You so that You can heal them completely and make us new beings. The ones who are ready and able for You to send to bring the lost souls back to You. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

Reaching Souls More Effectively (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Romans 6:1-23

RHEMA

Romans 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

A blind old man was about to cross a busy road. When this old man was struggling, an old woman wearing black glasses approached him and asked if she could cross together with the old man. The man happily took the woman’s hand, and they both crossed. But the woman walked difficultly, and they heard cars honking. Finally they were safely across. “You almost killed both of us! You walk like a blind man! ” scolded the man. “Yes, you are true. I am blind.” replied the woman calmly. “That’s why I asked to cross together.”

The unrestored soul makes us blinded by feelings of resentment, fear, curiosity, and other negative feelings. Our eyes seem closed to see all the works and goodness of God in our lives. If people like this walk together, as in the illustration above, the blind leads the blind. Instead of saving souls, they might perish together.

Only a renewed and freed person can reach out to the soul more effectively. Therefore, before we get involved in the apostolic movement, God wants to restore our hearts and souls. The Lord Jesus came to forgive and get rid of all guilt in us. He came to restore confidence and get rid of all the fear and disappointment that resides in us. For those of us who want to experience complete healing from God, our church holds a global Encounter Retreat. Register and follow, so that we become free individuals and experience restoration l. So that we are ready to be used in the Great Commission mission and become very effective fishermen of the soul.

REFLECTION

When our soul is RESTORED, we may reach out souls more effectively.

APPLICATIONS

1. What kind of person can reach the soul more effectively? Why is that?
2. What kind of person are you today?
3. What will you do so that you receive complete healing and are restored to be an effective soul winner for God?

PRAYER

“Jesus, thank you for coming for us. Restore our hearts and souls as You restored the disciples and used their lives for the mission. We long to save souls. Use us. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

The Hindrance to Save Souls

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Ezekiel 36:1-38

RHEMA

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

In a reality show, a woman is seen walking with her son. She asks everyone she meets along the way for help. The woman asks for help to buy her son several books for school. Among the people they meet, only one person who is willing to help her, an old pedicab driver.

At the end of the program, the host interviews the pedicab driver about why he helps the woman. The man says that he has ever been helped by someone. In the past, he could not even buy his son’s school uniform. However, there was one kindhearted person who wanted to help him buy a uniform, even paid for his child’s schooling until he graduated. That is what made the man moved to help the woman. He feels how hard the woman is and how grateful he was when he got help at the right time.

Reflecting on the story of the above, when someone’s heart is restored, he would have the strength and longing in his heart to help others. It is the same with our relationship with God. God has saved and helped us, but if our souls are still not healed, we cannot feel God’s goodness and are not moved to save souls. However, when our souls have been restored, we can understand and feel the great love and kindness of God in our lives. There is an impulse in the heart that begins to emerge, to bring the soul to God’s love and salvation. Therefore, God longs to heal the wounded souls, which is an obstacle for us to carry out soul-saving missions.

REFLECTION

A WOUNDED soul can HINDER us to SAVE SOULS.

APPLICATIONS

1. Have your soul been restored by God?
2. In your opinion, why is soul restoration so necessary and important?
3. What commitment will you make after reading today’s devotional?

PRAYER

“Jesus, we are grateful to have You in our lives. We long for You to use our life to expand Your kingdom on this earth. We want You to restore our souls so that we can become soul winners. Thank you, God. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray and give thanks. Amen.”

The Seed God Sows into Our Hearts (Morning)

TODAY’S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Ephesians 2:1-10

TODAY’S RHEMA

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

She was born in New York’s slum as a poor, black woman. She had no high expectations for her life she just wanted to be a nurse or teacher. But her single mother, Olga, thought differently. She wanted her children to succeed in life and no longer live in poverty. To do that, she did many odd jobs all at once, Ursula M. Burns once saw her mother caring for her neighbor’s children while she was doing laundry for another neighbor to make ends meet. After Ursula finished her senior high school, she went on to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating, she became an intern for Xerox while finishing her master’s degree. Watching her talents, Xerox gave her a scholarship and permanently joined after she graduated. In 2009 she was named as Xerox CEO, she remained the CEO until she stepped down in 2016. From a humble background, a girl with no dreams whatsoever, she led Xerox. Her mother didn’t give her a bountiful legacy, but the courage to dream and live out her dreams.

As a marketing strategy, producers must include something interesting in mind and its design, to make their products could compete against another products in markets. They could include it anywhere, in production processes, before production processes, or as a publicity stunt.

He creates us perfectly indeed, He also put great talents and efforts to make us as we are right now. He creates us this way to make us useful and beneficial. To be extraordinary. To be beautiful. He knows each of us and He doesn’t need something that we lacked. He needs us to be fruitful, to have the courage to dream and rise up.

REFLECTION

God WANTS us to live SUCCESSFULLY because HE PUTS in us A SEED OF SUCCESS.

APPLICATIONS

1. What kind of seed does He sow inside you?
2. Why does He put this seed in the first place?
3. How do you see this seed and rise up to multiply it?

TODAY’S PRAYER

“Good Father, I am grateful because You kindly give me this seed of success. Help me see and understand Your plans with this seed inside of me, to grow it, and to multiply it. To make it fruitful and be useful for others and Your kingdom. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
