Conquering The Spirit of Fear by Faith (Evening)

RHEMA

1 Peter 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Kylie was surprised knowing that her brother was infected by the coronavirus. Previously, she didn’t care about the pandemic. But now, she was confused and didn’t know what to do, unexpectedly the virus was so close. She became anxious about various things She repeatedly called his brother and asked him his condition, what he felt, and so on. She could not continue to work, she lost her.

She then contacted her cell leader and told her about her situation. Sending a short message, her cell leader prayed, gave encouragement, and also reminded her that these days the enemy she is fighting against is not only the coronavirus, but also the spirit of fear. Kylie was awakened, she immediately prayed and calmed herself down. After being able to think clearly, she realized that she had been attacked. She knew that her brother’s body was very healthy and strong, had no genetic diseases, and had received good care and medicine. What her brother needed was a calm heart, joy, and faith that God would soon restore his health. And Kylie couldn’t provide support if she was stricken with fear.

We can get a solution for problems that is visible. But for unseen things like a spirit of fear, there is no vaccine or medicine to remove it. Only a strong faith in God can remove it. It is our duty as children of God to fight on the front lines, to conquer every spirit of fear. It is not without reason that Ps. Obaja always reminds us to pray and meditate on the Word, also worship God, and do prayer and fasting. All of this will strengthen our faith so that we can fight and conquer the spirit of fear and rise up to help others.
