Fly High with God (Morning)

TODAY’S RHEMA

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ’ Says the LORD of hosts.

An eaglet watches his peers. They are playing far away on the horizon, catching the clouds as they fly higher. Something squeezes his heart, he envies them. He cannot erase his first experience when he almost died after trying his first unsuccessful flight attempt. His fragile legs shake, his nerves trembling inside his body. He sees below his nest, a huge chasm separates him and the horizon far beyond. He steps backward, hesitates.

But his mother shakes her huge feathered wing, which spans six feet from end to end. It disturbs the delicate balance the young eaglet has. He could feel the wind on his back. He could no longer feel the warmth of his nest. He tries to flap his wings but nothing happens. When he finally accepted his fate, a huge claw grabs his tiny body. His mother brings him in her claws. He could feel the breeze, it calms his nerves. Then he looks at his mother.

After they reach their nest new confidence rises. He is ready to take another chance because he knows: his mother would never abandon him even if he is just millimeters from death. If he falls her mother will catch him and bring him back, multiple times until his wings are strong enough to carry his weight and allow him to soar higher beyond any avian species could ever reach.

Does fear paralyze you? Does a huge chasm frighten you? Does failure upon failure take better of you? While you think about your dreams your heart is no longer excited. Your failures make you doubt your own choices and life. What should you do? Close your eyes. Do not see that huge chasm, ignore your trembling feet. Focus your mind on His cross. You’ll find your faith once again. He will catch you with His mighty hands and bring you back into safety, to once again encourage you to try and together with Him, soar and conquer the sky.
