How to Live in The Spirit (Morning)
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Throughout last month, Holy Spirit, through His rhema, kindly reminded us about the Year of the Holy Spirit. An opening act for His grander and extravagant play. That means we could no longer depend on our might and power, to do heavenly things. So today, this begs a question: what should we do to follow and walk side by side with Holy Spirit? Have the humility and innocence of a child. Jesus talked about this 2000 years ago yet it still relevant to this day. Luke 18:16 But Jesus called for the children, saying, “Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Like what we said earlier, children are humble and obedient. They do their parents’ orders without question. Why? Because: they are their parents, they believe their parents would never abandon or leave them exposed to danger, they all want the best to happen for their children. They have unquestionable faith in their parents. The same must be applied in our lives as well. After we are baptized, God the Father is our heavenly Father, Holy Spirit is our guardian. We must follow their words to a letter.
Today, make Holy Spirit the sole purpose and leader in your life. Let Him take control. Follow Him wherever He asks you to go. Listen to Him carefully. Open your heart. Build your obedience from small things then progress into bigger things. Remember, as a parent, all He wants to do is the best life we can achieve, both in this material world and beyond.
To live in the Spirit, we must BE WILLING to be led by Him.
1. Have you been praying enough for His guidance and leadership in every aspect of your life?
2. Why is it necessary to obey His words and leadership?
3. What do you have in mind to follow His lead consistently although it seems difficult?
“Lord, thank you for Your Word today. Help us to obey You and put aside our ego. Lead us, o Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
