How to Reach The Peak of Glory? (Morning)

TODAY’S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Proverbs 15:22-30

TODAY’S RHEMA

Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

Once upon a time in ancient Egypt, a Pharaoh had two nephews, Azur and Chuma. He told the two that he will appoint one of them as a governor of a certain province and provide wealth and luxury beyond comprehension. All they need to do was simple: they must build a pyramid without anyone’s help. After they were dismissed from Pharaoh’s presence, Azur went straight ahead. He started to carve large sandstones into the block. Put one on top of another. Tirelessly mixed limestone and clay into the mortar. Dragging huge blocks all by himself. A month after, he finished his first and second floor of the pyramid. When he visited his cousin’s plot of land, he saw no pyramid or stone. Instead, Chuma was busy drawing Nd sketching. Felt unthreatened by his cousin’s project, he went back to his task.

After a year of hardworking, Azur’s progress was hindered. He could easily drag huge blocks on the first and second floor but after the third floor, the gravity makes it a more arduous task to do. Although the third floor could be finished in a year, he still had four more floors to complete. When he reached the fourth floor, it took him 2 years. The fifth-year after Pharaoh started the contest Chuma finally arrived. He brought with him a strange contraption and machinery. Chuma started to work. In just two weeks, he and his machine could finish the ground floor. Within a month, a second floor was completed. In just three years, Pharaoh’s task was completed. Meanwhile, Azur still could not finish his fifth floor. The Pharaoh finally gave Chuma what he deserved: a position as a governor, wealth, and unimaginable luxury. After years of hardworking, Azur finally collapsed after exerting so much of his energy. He died without even see his treasure.

Some people may hold this creed wholeheartedly: action speaks louder than words. Act first think later. There’s no need for detailed and elaborate planning. Success cannot be achieved instantly. Thorough preparation and planning are necessary to reach success and glory. He has a serious plan for our lives so it would be shameful if we do not take it for granted. The time is now to start anew.
