MAKE USE OF THIS SHORT LIFE (English)

MARCH 28, 2022 | DAY 1#

TODAY’S RHEMA

Psalms 90:5-6 You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers.

One time as Winnie was driving, she saw a house with stairs leading up to a tiny room at the front. Winnie immediately remembered when she was a teenager, she would really like a room with its access like that. Even now, she still likes it, but her knees start to hurt when she climbs the stairs. She was surprised to see how fast time had passed.

Along the way, Winnie remembered what she had been through so far. The realization that the time she had gone through could not be repeated, made her regret many things. But Winnie knew she couldn’t get lost in her feelings. She would now pay attention to how she lived, for what she could do now would soon pass. Unknowingly, she will arrive at a time when she can no longer travel alone as she pleases. Her physical strength will inevitably continue to decline with age. Now while her body is still strong, Winnie is determined to do the best in her life.

As it was only yesterday that we celebrated the new year of 2022 and now that we are almost into the fourth month, we may feel the days are running fast. Human life is very short, fleeting if you may say. When we realize it, we will no longer be wasting time with meaningless things. Disputes, grudges, gossip, envy, pursuit of worldly pleasures, all of which are not only useless nor do they please God. Our lives will not be more meaningful because of it. On the other hand, if we use every second of our time to do our best, then our lives will have meaning. Both in the eyes of God and also in the eyes of others. (JB)
