TODAY’S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Jeremiah 17:5-8

TODAY’S RHEMA

Jeremiah 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.

Once upon a time, a wealthy merchant WAs planning to redecorate his garden. He then invited talented architects. He asked them to make a model for his new garden and if they won, it would surely lift their status and therefore their prestige. Without waiting any longer each of them started to work. They also seek advice from their teachers.

But one architect, instead of looking for his teacher or make models, prepared a list of questions. The architect then sent it to the merchant and his family. After he received the response, he observed the merchant’s daily activities. Three weeks he’d done his research and on the fourth week, he made the model. A month passed and the architects showed up to present their works. They were all beautiful and captivating. But one model seemed pretty ordinary. The questionnaire architect showed up with his humble work. He won the prize, instead. His thorough investigation, observation, and preparation bore fruit.

As a human, God gives us a mind to think and process information. We may develop our capabilities to think and to creatively make something or plan something for our lives. But because God creates us, He could still ‘vetoed’ our decision. He has a grand picture of our lives. He wants us to seek His advice, ask Him if something goes wrong or if we want to start our activities. Let Him control your life and make it greater and shine brighter than before.
