Surround Ourselves with People with Great Vision and Faith (Evening)

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Proverbs 24:1-34

RHEMA

Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

One of the greatest dream killers is “words”. Hurtful, mocking, pessimistic words will quickly kill a dream. If people who dream always listen to and depend their lives on what people say, it might happen to their dream. This is what happened to Katie. She had a dream to make a business using used goods. When she shared his plans with her friends, their response was pessimistic. “It must be difficult to find consumers, especially during a pandemic like this. And it must also be troublesome to get the appropriate raw materials. Why not try to do common business?”

Some of the input from her friends made her discouraged and began to feel that her idea was not good and difficult to realize. Remember, any big vision can fade because we are surrounded by the wrong social environment. Realize that everyone has different points of view. We can’t get all yes. There must be those who think negatively and see the shortcomings of our plans or dreams. That’s why if we want our plans to work, we need to have people with great vision and faith around us.

They will not laugh at our visions or dreams, yet they will support, help, and pray for us. Make sure we grow amid a strong cell group and church that can always support all our big plans and understand that God wants all of His children to have a big plan and vision for their life. As it is stated in Proverbs 24: 6, we need a multitude of wise counselors. Do not kill other people’s visions with our negative words. Learn to always think and speak words that build faith. With the power of words, the light of God’s ever greater glory will truly be revealed in our lives.

REFLECTION

If we want to do GREAT THINGS, then SURROUND ourselves with PEOPLE WHO HAVE GREAT VISION AND FAITH!

APPLICATIONS

1. Have you ever lost your dream or vision because of what someone else said?
2. How do you assess your current social environment? Are there people who have great vision and faith in them?
3. What impact did these people have on the achievement of your dreams and visions?

PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, thank you for Your Word about having the right association. Help us God to see which people can grow our faith and those that are not. Send strong people in our lives, so that we can grow in faith and be more determined in pursuing the vision that is from You. Thank you Lord, in the name of the Lord Jesus we pray. Amen.”
