THE SECRET OF WORSHIPPERS WHO IS LOVED BY GOD (English)
APRIL 8, 2022 | DAY 5#
TODAY’S RHEMA
John 12:3 Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
Six days before Easter, Jesus was in Bethany, the city where Lazarus lived. There was a banquet there. Come, Mary, sister of Lazarus, draw near to Jesus. She took half a catty of oil to anoint the Lord Jesus. Not just any oil, Maria uses nard oil. Nard or spikenard is a fragrant oil made from the roots of muskroot or spikenard, and to maintain its fragrance, the oil must be stored in alabaster jars. So that the price of pure nard oil is very expensive, which is around three hundred dinars. Equivalent to income for a full year.
Suddenly, everyone presents at the banquet was surprised by the fragrance that filled the room. How could it not be, the oil of nard which was so expensive was simply broken for Jesus and used to anoint His feet. However, Mary didn’t care what other people said. For Mary, the only way to prove that she loves Jesus is to give Him the best oil. Mary still bowed down and worshiped and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped them with her hair.
When we come to God, actually God already knows what is in our hearts and minds. God knows whether we are serious about giving praise and worship to Him or not. Therefore, do not pretend to worship God, but come to God with our sincerity in heart. Worship God with love for Him. When we can worship with a heart that loves God, He will not be able to resist expressing His love for us. That is one of the secrets of true worship. Not only will God love us, but also miraculous worship will occur in our lives. (JB)
