With God, You Can Conquer Your Fear (Morning)
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.“
“Facing the Giant” a well-known Christian drama, telling the story of Grant Taylor. An American football coach, he struggles to bring victory for his team. In his six years tenure not even once his team holds a cup. While he must face that his team is breaking up, he must accept his wife abandoning him because of his infertility. Those sudden misfortunes almost drove him mad. But when he starts to pray frequently at night something starts to change. He begins his new training regimes, with Christian values. He no longer put extreme pressure on becoming a champion on his team. All they have to do is: do their best and let God handles the rest. Their new training regimes are put to test when they finally “Facing the Giants” and win.
Although it’s just a fictional story, it’s still a masterpiece of a fictional story. It is a prime example of how things are sometimes hard to achieve and many challenges to make your dreams happen. But stand your ground. Your goals are just an inch away, if you give up, you cannot reach them and feel your fruits of labor.
We are facing our own giants. Our enormous problems are seemingly impossible to conquer. But David could defeat Goliath, a warrior bigger and taller than him with just stones and God’s help. Besides his unyielding faith. Don’t surrender to your financial problems, persistent ailments, career, or marital issues. You must believe in Him and keep fighting. With Him at our side, nothing is impossible.
Spirit of fear DEFEATS US BEFORE WE COULD EVEN LAND OUR FIRST PUNCH. Conquer it by FAITH.
1. Are you currently struggling with overwhelming problems? Can you mention it?
2. What did you do to overcome it?
3. What’s the primary reason to overcome and conquer your fears? Then, what are you going to do to make it happen?
“Jesus, we are grateful for Your guidance. We present our lives’ hardships and difficulties, because we know with Your help we can overcome them. Enable us to keep our faith and hearts focused solely on Your glory and promise. Strengthen our faith. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
